First of all, these days I have got tons of requests for personal coaching from all over the world. And I always ask them to learn the training principles first because if you don’t understand the mechanism of training, which kind of training the best is, what the purpose of a workout is and the law about long distance running and full marathon of the universe, you cannot apply it into your own training in the right way.

 

Roughly speaking, there are two ways of training. One is specific way of training and another one is abstract way of training.

 

And most people want to know a specific way of training. And I tell all of you the truth. This type of people is easy to get scammed because they have no ability to think about things by themselves. It’s easy to control.

 

Meaning, most amateur runners who want to run faster are easy to get scammed legally. 

 

I mean, if I don’t teach them the mechanism of training, basic principles of training and basic idea of training, they can’t train by themselves, they can’t get faster by themselves and they can’t solve their problems by themselves. So, they will keep paying me, I’m getting richer and richer while they stay like a child.

 

That does not sound good to you, right?

 

If you want to think about things, make the right decision by yourself and keep improving your time by yourself, you should learn the abstract way of training, it’s also called theory, principles, basic ideas etc.

 

That’s why I always teach amateur runners the abstract way of training, training theory, principles and basic ideas.

 

And then, I give them as many specific examples as possible, in other words, I give them materials to think by themselves.

 

So that finally they got independent and became adults. They don’t need to pay me anymore.

After you check what I wrote for you, please let me know if there are things you want to change or you want to ask me. Only one condition is one training program must be 6-12 months because you cannot get faster a lot only in 2-3 months. No matter who writes your training program, you can’t get faster a lot. It’s simply impossible.

I don’t think so because if my coach says to me ‘Attack that ship with carrying a bomb’, then I will do it. 

 

If I can do a suicide attack by my boss’s order, why not running until my body gets completely broken down by following a training program?

 

If I am that kind of person, there should be the same person somewhere in the World especially in Japan and Islamic countries.

 

But again, you should not do that. The training program which I’m going to write for you is just a guideline. Change a little bit, according to how your body feels, your work schedule, your family schedule (Don’t get divorce because you stick to my training program) and so on.

 

The best advice is, in middle and long-term vision (several months to several years), following well thought out perfect training program is the best idea and if it’s in a short-term vision (today or in a few weeks), following your instinct and how your body feels is the best idea. Remember these principles.
